While Integrated TMJ & Sleep Solutions of Denver is a recognized leader in the TMD field, its parent clinic, Raabe Family Dentistry, has been providing excellence in dentistry for over a century. Three generations of Raabe dentists have been providing quality treatment to Colorado families since 1907.

Today, the Raabe family practice has expanded with innovative services in the treatment of jaw pain and migraine headaches. A multi-disciplinary approach toward TMD complements innovative dental techniques to provide patients with a wide spectrum of services.

John Raabe, DDS

Dr. John Raabe's background in dentistry is rich with tradition and expertise, stemming from a long family lineage in the field. His grandfather, Max M. Raabe, established the family's dental practice back in 1907 in Leadville, a mining boomtown, before later relocating to Denver in 1922. Dr. John's father, Max H. Raabe, joined the practice after his service in World War II as a member of the renowned 10th Mountain Division. Notably, even his Army dental office was quite unconventional, situated on the back of a mule!

Dr. John Raabe's educational journey took him to the University of Michigan and the University of Colorado Dental School, where he acquired the foundational knowledge and skills for his dental career. As a true continuation of the family legacy, he carries forth the tradition established by his grandfather and upheld by his father.

Dr. John's dedication to his practice goes beyond the general dentistry realm. He has pursued specialized training in areas such as TMJ dysfunction, headaches, and sleep disorders. He completed an advanced mini residency in TMJ pain and dysfunction. Upon completing that program he earned a fellowship in Craniofacial Pain, which involves an in-depth understanding of issues related to the skull, face, and associated pain.

His expertise also extends into Dental Sleep Medicine, as he is certified by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. This certification likely signifies his ability to diagnose and treat sleep disorders related to dentistry, such as sleep apnea and related conditions.

Overall, Dr. John Raabe's background and extensive training suggest that he is not only continuing a family legacy but also bringing a high level of skill and specialized knowledge to his practice, particularly in the areas of TMJ dysfunction, craniofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine.

Kara Honn Zaritsky - Business Manager, Certified Massage Therapist

Kara has an extensive background in the health and wellness industry, with 31 years of experience. Her journey includes various leadership roles such as General Manager for Peak Athletics and Director of Spa & Fitness Operations for the Cherry Creek Country Club. Her educational foundation, starting with a degree in Recreation Facility Management and Business from Eastern Illinois University, likely provided her with a strong understanding of managing health and wellness facilities.

In 1996, Kara completed her massage training at The Boulder College of Massage Therapy, which further expanded her skill set and expertise in the field. Her diverse experiences, from overseeing the management of Raabe Family Dentistry and Integrated TMJ & Sleep Solutions to managing One Life Balance, highlight her ability to handle different aspects of health and wellness.
